Christ Clone Trilogy

I just finished reading the third book of James BeauSeigneur’s Christ Clone Trilogy Acts of God. It had been about a year since I read the second book, but got back into the story pretty quickly.

All three books are extremely well written, and I believe that should the End Times occur as he portrays them, many will follow as described. His writing style really connects with the reader, and brings us into the story.

Hey, I was totally caught up in the story line for all three books, it was really hard to put down. That’s saying a lot for an author to be able to hold MY attention! 🙂 I will be reading these books again as they are great thought provokers and make you examine where you stand in your own faith.

Excellent books considering that I just bought the first one cuz I needed something to read on the plane back from Calgary two years ago and I thought the premise was ‘neat’! 🙂

Zorro update

He’s doing pretty good. He’s got his appetite back, and is eating well. He still has problems since his head is tilted sideways (try walking that way yourself and see how well it works for you!), but his balance is much better and does not need any help getting around.

His right legs are still ‘heavy’ and makes it interesting on linoleum sometimes! His mental state appears to be quite normal for him. His body is not quite where he’s used to it being, but he is adjusting very well.

Walks are slow, but he does well on them, they are even of a decent length. We’re thinking it probably not a stroke as he is recovering quicker than we might have expected if it was.

Skooooolz out for…

Spring?

YAY, all done for this term! Well… I do have a night class tonight, but all the work is done!!!

I’ll take some time to do some work and head to Ottawa for Presbytery interviews next month, then take a course in June, and another in July, work some more and come back recharged for another year!

Oh, and if EVER given the option of a paper or a take-home exam… ALWAYS PICK THE PAPER! Just a little lesson I learned in this last week of classes. 😀

Doin’ ok!

Yesterday when we brought him home we had to carry him in the house.

After a few hours, he had to go out and managed to walk (with help) out to do his business. He got tired and I had to carry him back in the house when he finished. Same thing this morning.

But! This afternoon I asked him if he wanted to go out, and he went and did his business then made his own way back into the house and bed. Same thing this evening, and instead of heading to the backroom, he headed for the living room. He wanted to be back out with us, and he clumsily made his way out. His balance is still off, but it is much better than what it was earlier in the week. He doesn’t need helping standing up, and has even started stretching his legs a bit when he stands.

Hopefully we’ll see continued improvement as the week progresses!

He’s coming home!

Zorro has been at the vet for a week, and we’re gonna bring him home tomorrow. The prognosis is vestibular disease/stroke (Google it for more info), and also some depression. Depression of course will slow his recovery, so by bringing him home we hope that he’ll perk up quicker.

All in all, good news! 😀
